The 61-year-old Englishman, who was appointed coach just 67 days ago, was involved in a transfer corruption scheme.

This Tuesday, the British newspaper The Telegraph made public a video recorded with a hidden camera in which the technician explains, among other things, how to circumvent the laws of the transfer market.

On the tape, Allardyce appears negotiating with alleged businessmen an agreement valued at 400,000 pounds (460,000 euros) to represent an Asian investment firm and give lectures at certain events.

The manager also explains to another fictional businessman how to circumvent the rules on third party ownership of players, a controversial practice banned by the FA since 2008.

During the secret recording, the coach also appears to have made comments about other personalities from the world of football and even the British royal family.

«I recognize that some of the comments I made may have caused embarrassment. In the meeting we had, I asked to clarify what I said and to explain the context in which those conversations were held,» Allardyce said.
