The PDI came to ANFP in search of Jadue

SANTIAGO — Surprise was caused during the morning of this Friday by the visit of two officials of the Investigative Police to the dependencies of the ANFP headquarters in Quilín, where they consulted for the distant president Sergio Jadue and three other leaders of the organization.

And the general director of the PDI, Héctor Espinosa, confirmed that it was a proceeding against four regents of the governing body of Creole football, although he did not want to give their names.

They were looking for Jorge Fistonic, Nibaldo Jaque, Alberto Martínez and Jadue Agencia Uno

«They were notified to attend the Peñalolén Prosecutor’s Office in an investigation of a reserved nature,» he said in statements collected by Canal 24 Horas.

Although the general director of the entity, Héctor Espinosa, confirmed that the diligence was to notify the regents, he limited himself to saying that it was «an investigation of a reserved nature.»

However, the ANFP finally explained the reason for the PDI’s visit through a statement on its website.

«The Communications Department of the ANFP informs that this morning PDI officials attended the Quilín headquarters to deliver summonses to the president of the Corporation and some members of its Board of Directors in the framework of a routine investigation in relation to the allocation of fees that the Council of Presidents unanimously agreed for them,» the letter reported.

«This diligence begins after the Ministry of Justice objected to said assignments. The notifications that were delivered this morning were not surprising because the members of the Board of Directors were aware of the ongoing investigation and had already been informed that this would happen,» he added.

The presence of the PDI occurs after Sergio Jadue left the presidency of the ANFP on Thursday night by presenting a medical license, which was made official after 11:00 p.m. by the agency.

In the statement, the entity reported that Calerano will be out of office for 30 days and that Jaime Baeza will assume the position on an interim basis.

The situation will be clarified a little more after the board meeting of the ANFP and clubs that make up the CDF’s Sales Commission, which takes place from 10:30 am this Friday.
