The Colombian U-20 women’s team thrashed Uruguay and qualified for the 2022 World Cup in Costa Rica

The Colombian Women’s Under 20 National Team thrashed its similar team from Uruguay 3-0 on the last day of the final home run that is played in Chile and qualified for the World Cup of the category that will be played in Costa Rica next May.

The Tricolor advanced to the World Cup together with Brazil. The Colombians with the victory over the Charrúas eliminated them and reached six points, becoming unattainable in second place. Venezuela was the other eliminated.

Colombia started winning very early, confirming their superiority and favoritism. Just at minute 6 Ilana Izquierdo with a header opened the scoring. Uruguay responded with some skirmishes by Wendy Carballo, but then came the second of the Tricolor that increased the advantage through Gisela Robledo who did not fail from the penalty spot.

The final 3-0 came again with a goal by Gisela Robledo who sent a tremendous play in attack. With speed he left the Uruguayan defense in the way and when he faced the goalkeeper Sburlati took her out hooking outside and finishing sending her to the back of the net.
