Why Law Repetitorium?
To be honest, a rep is just as important for aspiring lawyers as Club Mate is for Berlin Germanists – despite the high costs. In many cases it is not a decision whether to use one, it is more about which one thinks is best.
Of course there is no guarantee that you will pass with rep and fail without. In general, however, one can say that without professional help it is often difficult to filter out what is really relevant for the exam from the large amount of material taught at the university.
Private law tuition really necessary?
It is striking that in no other course of study that ends with the state examination private tutoring plays such a big role as in the law exam. This is mainly due to the fact that an average of 30% of all students nationwide fail.
But why aren’t the universities able to prepare their law students appropriately for the exams?
Unireps – probably not the solution either
There are a few now though free, so-called Unireps. However, the majority of students continue to trust commercial revision courses. Many only use the university courses as a supplement – if at all.
This is mainly because the Unireps are still pretty much in the Substance preparation and exam relevance of the substance lag behind. In comparison, the commercial reps offer basic very well prepared content and many years of experience their lecturers.
Repetitorium – what exactly is that?

Structure of the classic law refresher course
Most refresher courses offer so-called main courses, which cover all three subjects relevant to the examination (criminal, civil and public law) separately.
The lesson takes place three times a week in larger groups (20-50 people) and a unit usually lasts 3-4 hours. It is recommended to take the main courses regularly for a year to visit.
In addition, it is strongly advised to attend so-called exam courses, so that you can at least one exam per week at exam level writes. Depending on the tutor, this will be professionally corrected and discussed.
There are also often crash courses, in which a specific topic, such as administrative or European law, is then gone through for several whole days.
