Klopp refuses to succeed Löw as Germany coach

The idea of Jürgen Klopp becoming Germany’s new coach in the summer was ruled out, as the Liverpool coach pointed out that he has a contract to fulfill with the Premier team

Jürgen Klopp, manager of Liverpool, rejected that he could become the German coach, succeeding Joachin Löw, who will leave the German team after the Euro.

The Liverpool manager is in the spotlight after his team have lost six games in a row at Anfield and are seven points out of the Champions League spots.

In addition, this moment coincides with Löw’s resignation to continue as coach beyond the European Championship this summer.

«No, I will not be available to coach Germany in the summer or after the summer. I have three years left on my contract at Liverpool. It is simple. You sign a contract and you fulfill it,» Klopp said at a press conference before facing RB Leipzig in the second leg of the Champions League round of 16.

Löw became Germany coach in 2006, after the World Cup, and during his time in charge he has won the 2014 World Cupas well as reaching the 2008 Euro final, and the semi-finals in 2012 and 2016. They also won the Confederations Cup in 2017.
