The teams from Switzerland, Italy, Croatia and Denmark will be the seeded teams in the draw for the playoff qualifiers for the European qualifying zone for the 2018 World Cup in Russia, which will take place this Tuesday in Zurich

These four teams will enter cup 1 as they are the best placed in the FIFA world ranking made public this Monday. The other four, Northern Ireland, Sweden, Ireland and Greece, go to cup 2.

The fact of being seeded, however, does not have, as on other occasions, the advantage of home field factor for the second leg in these qualifiers.

In the draw, one ball from Cup 1 and another from Cup 2 will be drawn and placed in a third container, where they will be mixed and drawn one by one. The first will correspond to the home team of the first leg. Thus until conforming the four qualifiers.

The first leg of these repechages will be played between the 9th and 11th of November and the return between the 12th and 14th of the same month. In the event of a tie, the team that has scored the most goals as a visitor will qualify for the World Cup.

The next FIFA World Ranking will be published on November 23, 2017.
