30 years after Italia 90: The red shirt, the symbol of a Colombian World Cup generation

A little over thirty years ago, Colombia once again inverted the tricolor on its uniform to seek qualification for Italy 90. It opted for that formula despite the failed experiences of the past in which it cried eliminations.

The red also returned, to premiere the Metropolitan Stadium of Barranquilla, as the home of the National Team. On August 20, 1989, he made his debut in the Qualifiers against Ecuador. He won 2-0 with a brace from Arnoldo Iguarán.
