1. His full name was Albus Percival Wulfric Brian Dumbledore.. Of course, the greatest sorcerer of all time deserves three names.

2. When Dumbledore was a student at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, belonged to the house of Gryffindor.

3. Another thing you should know about Albus Dumbeldore is that he was the one who invented the Deluminator, a device – which you will surely remember – that can turn off the lights from a distance. After his death, he bequeaths it to Ron Weasley. This device later helps Ron find Harry and Hermione after he abandons them following an argument in the book and movie. The Deathly Hallows.

4. Dumbledore was 115 years old when he was killed. According to JK Rowling, on her Pottermore website, she was born in 1881 and died in 1997.

5. Albus Dumbledore’s tomb is the only tomb at Hogwarts.

Dumbledore wanted to be buried at Hogwarts because it was the only place he considered his true home.

6. Dumbledore was the first wizard to possess all three Deathly Hallows. He never had all three at the same time, but he was the first to find them all.

7. Dumbledore was so powerful that he didn’t need an Invisibility Cloak. In Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone, Dumbledore tells Harry that he doesn’t need one of those fancy cloaks if he wants to go invisible.

8. Before Harry was born, a prophecy was made about the child who could bring down Lord Voldemort. Professor Trelawney recited the prophecy to Dumbeldore at the end of his job interview for a position at Hogwarts. As you understand, Dumbledore hired her without a second thought.

9. Dumbledore was gay. JK Rowling made the announcement of this Hogwarts headmaster’s sexuality around the time the film Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince was being filmed.. It is believed that he was in love with his best friend Gellert Grindelwald, who would later prove to be someone with terrible intentions, although there is no evidence of this romantic interest.

10. Dumbledore hated politics. Apparently, he was offered the job as Minister of Magic several times in his life, but always rejected him.
