Neurolinguistics, you use it, even if you don’t know what it is. –

A speaker addressed hundreds of people and said:

– There are two types of people in the world. Those who use NLP and those who use NLP (Neurolinguistic Programming).

There was silence in the audience, some thought they had not understood, as there were also people there who had only heard superficially about the subject.

Then he repeated: – There are two types of people in the world. Those who use NLP and those who use NLP.
But what is this NLP and why is it talked about so much all over the world? Why do so many people report life changes through its use? What is its usefulness in practice? Good questions. Let’s try to answer them.

Neurolinguistic Programming (NLP) is a science, a kind of user manual for the human brain and how to use it to achieve our personal, family and professional goals. It makes it possible to understand the structure of how the mind works and how to reprogram it through a language that neurons can understand and put into practice. It serves to better understand people and ourselves and communicate in a way that works, to get where we want in a way that is good for everyone. It has been used in schools around the world, in the daily practice of lawyers, doctors, psychologists, traders, salespeople, fathers and mothers, young people of all ages to obtain changes that did not seem possible before. It serves to overcome anxieties, insecurities, develop relationship, negotiation and conflict resolution skills. It is a science because these results are repeated everywhere and more and more. The person learns to know their emotions and thoughts, how and why they react in certain ways and how to have access to new options, new richer and more meaningful alternatives in their relationships, their business and in their life as a whole.

The person understands how the process of learning content and attitudes takes place and how to learn more in less time, in an easier and more enjoyable way. Learn how to use verbal and non-verbal language and ask the right questions for each type of omitted information and how to ask them in such a way that the interlocutor expresses cooperation when responding. It shows how to ask questions and tell stories with the aim of expanding other people’s awareness in a way that opens their minds to new, more productive paths, with better results and more satisfaction. There are specific ways to work to get results and become more efficient and you can learn this and apply it to any area of life.

A teacher, for example, will be able to identify how each student learns best by observing their eye movements, which give precise indications of how they are processing information. Just listen to one or two sentences to clearly see whether you should emphasize visual or auditory information or information linked to sensations, feelings or meaning for that student. A teacher will realize that if he uses only one of three communication channels, he will only reach a certain group of students while another will be left with nothing because the teacher did not use the language they understand. But a teacher who knows how to speak all three languages will be more efficient in teaching and learning any content. A parent will be able to influence more strongly and obtain the collaboration of their child if they use the resources that NLP teaches, as it is often the case that three different children need a different way so that each one can understand and be influenced in the same way. form. If you know how to arrive in the way that each person likes and understands, doors will open more easily.

For some, saying this is like speaking Greek, as they do not have a similar experience to understand how this happens or are afraid of venturing onto the path of change as they prefer to continue as they are, as they feel safer on familiar ground. Have you ever eaten mango? Would you know how to explain what a mango tastes like? If I asked you this, perhaps you would answer: – Just eating to find out. The same thing happens with NLP, you can only know through experience. It’s like playing the piano. You can read hundreds of books about how to play the piano, but you will only know it when you sit down and put your fingers on the keys and experiment, slowly developing your skills. Just reading can give you a distant idea of what this is. A single experience of change will give you hundreds of times greater understanding. Positive belief opens doors, as it affects capabilities and behavior, making it creative. You need to believe that change is possible, and that it can happen to you, as it happens to others. And allow yourself to walk the path.
